The value of kindness and giving can be brought home by poverty. When we witness those in need, it can motivate us to reach out and provide our assistance. As we become more aware of the difficulties and tribulations faced by people who are less fortunate, this can foster a better feeling of empathy and compassion.

Here are some of the organizations and people who are helping the world heal:

Over 24 million actions have been completed to date by millions of global citizens to urge world leaders to end severe poverty by 2030. Oprah Winfrey was established in 2007 by her. In South Africa, there is a school called the Leadership Academy for Girls that gives girls from disadvantaged families access to the education and assistance they require to succeed. Additionally, among other locations, she has supported college scholarships and Charter Schools in Chicago and Philadelphia. Also utilizing her power and her platform to discuss issues of gender and racial injustice, which are two of the main causes of poverty. Shared by her The Golden Globe Awards in 2018 sent this message emphatically

These people are making a stand for others without even knowing each other, which gives us hope to ourselves that we can also help in our own ways. There are many ways that individuals can help to alleviate poverty and contribute to the effort to eradicate it. Some possible actions include:

  • Donating money to reputable organizations that work to combat poverty and provide aid to those in need.

  • Volunteering time and skills to help support poverty reduction initiatives and organizations.

  • Supporting businesses and organizations that prioritize social and economic justice, including those that employ and provide opportunities for disadvantaged individuals.

  • Advocating for policies and initiatives that aim to reduce poverty, such as increasing access to education, healthcare, and affordable housing.

  • Educating oneself about the root causes of poverty and working to raise awareness about the issue in one's community.

  • Supporting and participating in community development initiatives that aim to empower disadvantaged individuals and communities.

By taking these and other actions, individuals can play a vital role in the effort to eradicate poverty and create a more equitable and just society.
